Topic:  Digital Identity on the Blockchain

A conversation on the foundations of blockchain technology with emphasis on the impact to individuals.  

Speaker:  Sean O'Kelly,  Chief Technology Officer, Meetings & Events International


Currently, Sean serves as the EVP of Technology (CTO) for Meetings & Events International, which manages the planning, logistics, and regulatory compliance for professional learning and educational events.  Sean is responsible for driving technology strategy and investment, managing a portfolio of applications, delivering new service offerings, improving infrastructure, security, and operations, building high performing teams, and exploring innovation opportunities with emerging technologies.

Sean recognizes the importance of building strong relationships in order to be a true partner and trusted advisor to sales, finance, operations, and other business leaders.  He is passionate about leveraging technology to drive measurable operational and financial outcomes, and has a particular focus on digital customer engagement, platform scalability, revenue growth, improved customer service, and business process optimization. 

Previously, Sean served as CIO for the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation at the State of Illinois, which governs community banks, financial institutions, real estate, cannabis, and professional licensing.  Prior to joining the State, Sean spent 20+ years in several consulting, operations, and leadership roles at Accenture, Deloitte, State Farm, and Heidrick & Struggles.
